Bring your favorite soup or salad to Lunch Bunch

Got lunch plans? Then join Cheryl Lyon for Lunch Bunch on Monday, January 24!

Lunch-goers should bring soup or salad dish to the noon edition of Lunch Bunch to share with everyone. Then get ready to discuss cooking, baking, recipes, and more. Make sure to bring your own beverage to quench your thirst.

Lunch Bunch is an adult program that meets on the fourth Monday of every month at noon.

How is your health department working for you?

Join Wyandot County Public Health at 6 p.m. Jan. 12, in the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s large meeting room for a program that will educate attendees on all the ways the health department impacts the community.

Learn about the programs available to the community through the health department; meet staff members from the nursing, environmental, and administrative branches of the health department; and hear from a representative of the Wyandot County Health Board.

Join a new genre-specific book club!

Do you have a favorite reading genre but no one to talk about it with? Then make way for the Inglorious Bookworms Book Club and choose your own reading adventure.

Each month the book club will feature a different genre that you can dive into or skip. So whether romance makes you swoon, science fiction takes you where no one has gone before, or mysteries have you donning a deerstalker hat, this book club is designed for your reading life. Revel in your genre and become . . . an Inglorious Bookworm.

What are you reading to start off 2022?

If you have been itching to talk about the books you read, then join fellow readers for BookTalk on the first Thursday of each month.

BookTalk, everyone’s favorite sharing time for readers, will meet at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6. Join group discussion leader Krystal Smalley for a casual talk about books. No matter the subject or genre, all readers are welcome to talk about anything book related.

Craft Party: Marbled Coffee Cup & Mug Rug

Join Miss Rachel and spend an evening with fabulous makers just like yourself while you make fun crafts.

There will be two featured crafts for the January Craft Party. Grab a friend and spend the evening making a Marbled Coffee Cup with nail polish and then weaving a Mug Rug coaster. It will be an evening of crafts, snacks, and fun. The Craft Party will be held in the large meeting room at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13.

Registration is required and begins Monday, January 3. Sign up in person at the library or call at 419-294-1345 to reserve a spot. Space is limited.

Start off the New Year with new reading goals

Are you looking for a way to get a leg up on your New Year’s reading resolutions? Then join the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s Snow Better Time to Read adult winter reading program.

Reading is its own reward, but if you sign up for Snow Better Time to Read you might win a prize, too. Simply sign up for the program at the front desk. Each time you check out library books, you will receive a snowflake surprise as well as an entry for the winter reading grand finale prize. Snow Better Time to Read runs from January 3 through February 12.
