Get your family outside to stretch their legs, read a book, and solve a puzzle with Coded StoryWalk®.

The book for June is They’re There on Their Vacation by Brian P. Cleary, illustrated by Jim Paillot. “Meet the Tuckabees. They're going on vacation. But not an ordinary vacation. They always choose the wackiest, weirdest destinations for their family trips. This year their stops include visits to the world's largest underwear, a narwhal petting zoo, and the amazing Cheezie Popz factory. No matter where this family goes, they're sure to have tons of fun when they get there. Come along for the ride—and along the way, learn to tell apart they're, their, and there. These words sound alike, but they're different in meaning. Figure out how to keep them straight as you join the Tuckabees on their adventures.”

Before you begin your walk, stop by the library’s front desk and pick up a Coded Tales worksheet. As you walk from business to business, each page will be marked with a letter that should be written on the worksheet. When you finish the story, you will have spelled out a special message that you can return to the library to receive a prize.

The Coded StoryWalk® begins at the Upper Sandusky Community Library and continues in the windows of the following businesses: A Cut Above, Corner Inn, SURGE, Neumeister’s Candy Shoppe, Fay Family Dental Care, A.J.’s Heavenly Pizza, Johnson Orthodontics, The Barber Shop, Community First Bank, First Citizens National Bank, Woven Yoga, Richardson Flower, and Upper Fire Systems.
