In Memory... Jenny Barnes & Marilyn Barnes by Mary Newell Technical Difficulties? Try our TechConnect hour Tuesdays 11:00 a.m. to noon. Most people don’t even notice them—three tiny figures sitting at the end of a long pier in the corner of one of the most famous paintings in the world. But Louisa knows otherwise and is determined to find out the story of these three enigmatic figures. Twenty-five years earlier, in a distant seaside town, a group of teenagers finds refuge from their bruising home lives by spending long summer days on an abandoned pier. Out of that summer emerges a transcendent work of art, a painting that will unexpectedly be placed into eighteenyear-old Louisa’s care. She embarks on a surprise-filled cross-country journey to learn how the painting came to be and to decide what to do with it. Louisa finds proof that happy endings don’t always take the form we expect in this testament to the power of friendship and art. Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty. At nine, she was already a star - yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide-and-seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared. Dillon Cooper was shocked to find the bloodied, exhausted girl huddled in his house - but when the teenager and his family heard her story, they provided refuge, reuniting her with her loved ones. Cate’s ordeal, though, was far from over. After discovery of a shocking betrayal and years spent away in Western Ireland, she finally gains courage to return to Los Angeles. What she didn’t yet know was that two seeds had been planted that night - one of a great love, and one of a terrible vengeance....
