Join USCL for The Big Event

Spend the evening with the Upper Sandusky Community Library staff as they bring you new recipes and games to while away a summer night at The Big Event.

Come to the Harrison-Smith Park band shell on June 17 as the fun kicks off with a special What’s Cookin’: Pack Your Picnic Basket program at 6:00 p.m. Cheryl Lyon will be demonstrating how to make three different picnic recipes: Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Wacky Bean Salad, and Strawberry Angel Food Cake Dessert. Make sure to stay until the very end to sample the dishes!

After the What’s Cookin’ program slide on over for a few rounds of Jeopardy! beginning at 6:30 p.m. You can compete individually or in teams. The categories will tie into the Tails & Tales Summer Reading Program.

Make sure to visit Holly Higgins at the Cards for Seniors Pop-Up Station during The Big Event. She will have all the makings you need to create a card and craft a special message that will be delivered to the senior citizens in our community in August.

Visit with the Wyandot County Humane Society and their dogs while you're there! We will also have a donation box on hand - bring along dog or cat food, toys, or old towels and blankets to help them out. You'll receive an entry slip for the donation and you can mark it off your Bingo card.

The rain date for this event is Saturday, June 19. Events begin at 6:00 p.m. with What’s Cookin’: Pack Your Picnic Basket, followed by Jeopardy! at 6:30 p.m.
