After school expectations at USCL

The Upper Sandusky Community Library will have new guidelines in place for the upcoming school season.

Due to the changes made in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Upper Sandusky Community Library will continue to enforce guidelines set forth by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Library Council. Those guidelines include wearing masks while in the building, maintaining a six-foot distance, and staying home if you are sick.

In addition to those guidelines currently in place, the library will limit the number of students in the building to those who are studying, doing homework, or checking out materials. Students will not be able to spend time at the library to hang out with friends or play games. Additional tables will be placed in the library to assist students with social distancing while doing school work and additional computers will be made available in the public computer areas for students to complete homework. If necessary, the 30-minute time limit will be enforced in order to comply with the governor’s mandate in regards to capacity and social distancing.

Tutors should contact the library in order to inquire whether space is available for tutoring. Tutors can also contact USCL Director Kathleen Whitt to further discuss space and availability.

MASKS REQUIRED AT USCL

Masks are required at the Upper Sandusky Community Library in order to limit the further spread of Covid-19 in Ohio. The library is striving to continue to offer services to our patrons. If you can't wear a mask due to a medical condition, please call the library at 419-294-1345 ahead of time to set up curbside pickup. The staff would be happy to bring your materials to you. If you would like to visit the library but don't have a mask, the library has made masks available at each entrance for you.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES AT USCL
